Top Pokémon Chase Cards: Ascended Heroes’ Pikachu ex Soars While Chaos Rising’s Greninja ex Falls
The Pokémon TCG market has continued to shift rapidly in 2026, with some of the hobby’s biggest chase cards experiencing massive swings over the last three months. While newer releases like Ascended Heroes have exploded in value, others have struggled to maintain their launch momentum.
Ascended Heroes’ Pikachu ex Leads the Market
The standout performer among recent chase cards has been Pikachu ex from Ascended Heroes, which has surged an astonishing 166% over the past three months.
The card currently commands roughly $1,300 ungraded, making it one of the most valuable modern chase cards released this year. Its strong artwork, fan-favorite Pokémon, and growing demand have quickly pushed it near the top of the modern market.
Chaos Rising’s Mega Greninja ex Cools Off
Not every release has enjoyed the same success.
Mega Greninja ex from Chaos Rising has declined 46% over the last three months, settling around $328. Like many hyped releases, early prices appear to have outpaced demand before gradually correcting as more copies entered circulation.
Similarly, Meowth ex from Perfect Order has fallen 27%, bringing its market value down to roughly $182.
Prismatic Evolutions Remains Strong
Despite launching in early 2025, Umbreon ex from Prismatic Evolutions continues to demonstrate impressive staying power.
The card has climbed 45% over the last three months and now sits around $1,600 ungraded, making it the most valuable card among the group featured. Demand for Eeveelutions remains one of the strongest themes in the Pokémon hobby, helping support long-term prices.
Black Bolt and White Flare Continue Higher
The recently released split sets Black Bolt and White Flare have also performed well.
Victini (Black Bolt): +42%, currently around $577
Reshiram ex (White Flare): +36%, currently around $480
Both cards have benefited from strong collector interest and relatively fresh supply entering the market.
A Tale of Two Markets
The data highlights how quickly the Pokémon market can evolve. Some cards are seeing explosive appreciation driven by scarcity and collector demand, while others are experiencing the natural cooldown that often follows release hype.
Whether these trends continue remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: not all chase cards are created equal, and set performance can vary dramatically within just a few months.
