Every Crystal Pokémon Card Has More Than Doubled in Price Over the Past Year
Crystal Pokémon Prices Are Booming
The Crystal Pokémon market has surged over the past year, with every English Crystal card more than doubling in PSA 10 value. Led by Crystal Lugia at $96,500, the nine-card subset has recorded gains as high as 345%.
Originally released in Aquapolis and Skyridge, Crystal Pokémon are among the rarest and most recognizable cards from the e-Card era. Limited supply, iconic artwork and growing demand for early-2000s Pokémon cards have pushed the entire subset into a new price tier.
Crystal Lugia Approaches Six Figures
Crystal Lugia remains the most valuable card in the group following a recent PSA 10 sale of $96,500. That represents a 292% year-over-year increase from approximately $24,600.
The Aquapolis card has nearly quadrupled in value and now sits just below the six-figure threshold. It has also moved ahead of Crystal Charizard based on the latest recorded sale.
Crystal Charizard Climbs to $85,400
Crystal Charizard recorded a recent PSA 10 sale of $85,400, compared with approximately $31,000 one year earlier.
The card briefly reached a sale price as high as $117,000 during its recent run before pulling back. Even after that decline, its latest price represents an increase of roughly 177% year over year.
Even the Lowest-Priced Crystal Cards Have Doubled
The rally has extended well beyond Lugia and Charizard. Crystal Golem, currently the least expensive card in the group, increased 109% to $6,550.
Crystal Kabutops rose 138% to $7,500, while Crystal Kingdra climbed 235% to $10,203. Every English Crystal Pokémon card now commands at least four figures in PSA 10, and six of the nine have recorded recent sales above $10,000.
Why Crystal Pokémon Cards Are Surging
Crystal Pokémon were released during the final portion of the Pokémon e-Card era across Aquapolis and Skyridge. The subset includes only nine English cards, giving collectors a clearly defined and exceptionally difficult set to complete.

The sharpest price increases have occurred in a relatively thin market. Because PSA 10 copies trade infrequently, a small number of aggressive purchases can produce substantial swings in recorded prices.
